4th of July 2011

We had a very busy 4th of July. We visited the Jeppsons the weekend before to light off a few fireworks and go motorcycling at 5 Mile Pass (20-30 miles west of Lehi). We all had a great time.

Connor was terrified of the fireworks the year before so Brad tried to prepare him by telling him what the fireworks do and sound like. It didn't work - he was scared to death and went inside after the first one.

Connor wore his motorcycle helmet for the first time on this trip. He hated it at first, then he realized he gets to go for a motorcycle or 4-wheeler ride when he wears it. Now he absolutely loves it and even requests it.

We spent the actual 4th of July holiday with our friends Bret, Jenn, and Hannah. We ate KFC for dinner and played Rook until it was time to watch fireworks at 10 p.m. We set up chairs in the street right in front of our house and we had a perfect view of the fireworks at Weber High School about 1 mile east of us. It was also fun to see the other cities' fireworks go off across the valley. Connor really liked these fireworks!
